Saigon (HCMC), Vietnam

So the last stop of our Southeast Asia trip was to Vietnam! This was my fourth time here, but my first time with someone who’s not a family member. And let me just say, touring the city with family vs. friends is a completely different experience. I just think that my parents are extremely protective and convinced that everyone in Vietnam is out to 1) kidnap me and hold me for ransom, 2) rip us off, 3) make us take drugs. And they should know best, right? They have spent a major portion of their life in Vietnam. Well, these obviously not completely true as I’ve returned from Vietnam completely unharmed (aside from a horrible food poisoning incident).

Needless to say, since I’ve been to Vietnam so often, I didn’t take many photos while I was there. I was looking through my album and I was actually surprised at how few photos I had. However, if you wanted more photos of Vietnam, I have some blog posts from the last time I was there and I’m sure I still have more from that trip that I haven’t uploaded yet.

  1. aww sorry to hear about the food poisoning, It looks you had an amazing time though from your photos! You captured the beauty of Vietnam really nicely in these pictures.
hehe..yes traveling with family is a lot idfferent than with friends! They are both fun in their own ways, but I agree with you about parents being protective!!
